KEZIAH WESTBERRY (NOAH3, NOAH2, MOSES1) was born February 24, 1861 in Glynn Co, Georgia, and died September 14, 1947 in Wayne Co, Georgia. She married JOSHUA H. HARPER March 15, 1882 in Glynn Co, Georgia, son of JOSHUA HARPER and ELIZA KNIGHT. He was born August 26, 1860, and died September 23, 1942 in Wayne Co, Georgia.

Mrs. Kate Westberry Harper Succumbs – Mrs. Kate Westberry Harper, 86, wife of Joshua H. Harper, died Sunday a.m. at her home, after an extended illness. Mrs. Harper was born in Brunswick, February 24, 1861, and lived there until she married, moving to Wayne County. She was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church, where she took a very active part until failing health deprived her of these privileges. She lived a useful and active life which should be as an example for her oncoming generation. She was preceded by her husband in death on September 23, 1942. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock at Little Creek Baptist Church with Rev. E. L. Little officiating, assisted by Rev. D. E. Little and Rev. C. N. Mills. Burial was in the church cemetery with Rinehart Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers were Eugene Harper, Stetson Bennett, H. C. Harper, Raybon Bennett, T. B. Harper and Clyde Harper. Honorary pallbearers were George Harper, L. Harper, H. G. Smith, T. E. Dekle, Lewis Rooks, A. J. Hopkins, Henry Horton and John D. Harper. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nora Rogers, Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Maude Bennett, Little Creek; Mrs. Iva Bennett, Brunswick; six sons, James H. Harper, Harry Harper, Eddie Harper, Ernest Harper, Virgil Harper and Ben Harper, all of Little Creek, thirty-nine grandchildren, sixty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. John Webster of Fernandina, Fla.

Joshua H. Harper Dies Wednesday. Joshua H. Harper, 82, popular and lifelong citizen of Wayne County, passed away at the family residence at Little Creek, late Wednesday afternoon after an extended illness. Mr. Harper engaged in farming ever since young manhood, and resided within a short distance of where he lived all of his life. He was a lifelong member of Little Creek Baptist Church, being quite active in all affairs of this church. He was married to Katie Westberry of Glynn County, March 15, 1882. Survivors include, besides his widow, nine children, six sons and three daughters. The six sons are James H. Harper, Harry Harper, Eddie Harper, Virgil Harper, Ernest Harper and Ben Harper, all of Wayne County; the three daughters, Mrs. Richard Bennett, Wayne County, Mrs. Nora Rogers, Miami, Fla., Mrs. L. F. Bennett, Brunswick; thirty-seven grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; one brother, James D. Harper, Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Anderson, Hortense, Mrs. Sallie Richardson, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Liza Love, Savannah, besides a large number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Little Creek Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at three o’clock. Rev. E. L. Little and Rev. W. B. Feagins will officiate, and interment will be in the church cemetery. Wayne Funeral Home will be in charge.
