The Zealandia United Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on September 5, 1970, when Rev. David Iverson of Harris preformed a double ring ceremony, uniting in marriage Linda Rose Westbury and Lorne Kenneth Bahr.
The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Westbury of Zealandia and the groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bahr of Broderick.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride looked lovely in a floor length princess gown of white peau de soie, with long sleeves and a train. Her four tiered shoulder length veil was held in place by a white fabric flower headpiece. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses.
The bride’s attendants were Misses Marion Green of Zealandia and Connie Calvert of Rosetown. They wore identical street length dresses of pink coral peau de soei with white flower headpieces and carried bouquets of white mums.
The groom was attended by Howard Marshall of Outlook and Wayne Kuffner of Broderick. The ushers were Randy Friesen and Bob Derdall, both of Outlook.
The bride’s mother chose a blue fortrel dress with white accessories. Her corsage was pink asters. The groom’s mother wore a mauve dress and hat with off-white accessories. Her corsage was also of pink asters.
Following the ceremony a buffet reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Linda Bahr of Saskatoon, sister of the groom, was in charge of the register. She wore a purple lace dress and her corsage was white mums. After the reception a very enjoyable dance and lunch was held at Broderick.
For going away the bride chose a purple wool dress with grey Persian lamb trim and black accessories. Her corsage was white asters.
The happy couple are making their home in Edmonton, Alta.
Out of town guests were from Broderick, Outlook, Milden, Conquest, Dinsmore, Kyle, Wiseton, Glamis, Rosetown, Herschel, Swift Current, Shellbrook, Nipawin, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw, Sask., Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta.

i. ROBERT FRASER BAHR, b. February 06, 1971, Outlook, Saskatchewan; m. TERRI KLOTZ; b. August 23, 1971.
