Mrs. M. Roberson Buried Tuesday. Mrs. Mahalia Westberry Roberson, 85, died Monday morning after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Westberry, Sr. and a life-long resident of Wayne County. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. G. W. Murray and Mrs. Arthur McCall, both of Jesup; seven sons, H. C., Blackshear, Hobart, Blythe Island, L. B., Pearson, Alton, Florida, D. B., Savannah, Ernest, Pearson, Colvin Roberson of Odum and O. H. Roberson, Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Ralph Reddish, Odum; four brothers, J. B. Westberry, Pulaski, H. J. Westberry, Sr., Jesup, B. Westberry, Tampa, Fla. and Isham Westberry, Jesup; 22 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Old Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Braswell Carter and the Rev. Frank Harris. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews Hazel Jones, Alvin Jones, Bertie Yarbrough, Otha Scott, Emory Ammons, H. J. Westberry, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Terrell Sutton, Matthew Roberson, Frank Roberson, Clinton Roberson, L. R. Moody, Jim Williamson, Elton Tillman, Dr. Fred Harper, Elridge Withrow and Allen Aspinwall.
