The Jesup Sentinel, Wayne County, Georgia, Thursday, November 7, 1929.
W. R. Westberry, 62, life long Wayne County citizen, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. G. Cohee of Walnut Street, Jesup, Ga., at eleven o’clock Thursday morning of last week after being ill for about five weeks. He suffered from a series of complications which caused his death. Mr. Westberry was born and reared in Wayne County and has made his home in Jesup and vicinity during his entire life. He married Miss Lula Morgan of Wayne County who preceded him in death 8 years ago. Unto this union 4 children were born, all of whom now survive him. The funeral services were held at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Cohee, Friday afternoon, November 1, with Rev. W. L. Wright, pastor of the Jesup Methodist Church conducting the ceremony. The services were concluded in the Jesup Cemetery. Surviving the deceased are two sons, Carlos W. and Blake Westberry, and two daughters, Mrs. Myrtice Lamb and Mrs. Madelyn Cohee, besides several brothers and sisters. Pallbearers were S. E. Cohen, Fate Carter, A. E. Knight, S. M. Gilbert, R. B. Hopps and W. P. Riggins. Stewart and Knight undertakers in charge.

Mrs. W. R. Westberry – Mrs. Lula Westberry, wife of W. R. Westberry, died at her home here Thursday morning at about 6 o’clock; after a short illness.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. E. Arnold pastor of the Methodist church of which she was a member. Interment in Jesup Cemetery.
Mrs. Westberry was 48 years of age and is survived by a husband and four children; Miss Madelyn Westberry, of Baxley; Carlos Westberry of Wilmington, N. C.; Mrs. J. Francis Lamb of Thomasville, and Blake Westberry of Savannah, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

iii. MYRTIS WESTBERRY, b. January 07, 1900; d. December 08, 1989; m. (1) JOHN FRANCIS LAMB, October 18, 1920, Wayne Co, Georgia; m. (2) LESLIE CLARY, 1935; b. December 06, 1904.

iv. WILLIAM A. BLAKE WESTBERRY, b. Abt. 1903; m. DORA.
